The best minimalist fighting vehicle
The Hetzer tank destroyer, the best fighting vehicle among the many German fighting weapons, had low production costs and a certain level of offensive and defensive capabilities.
Although there were some restrictions due to the fact that it was based on a small vehicle, more than 2,800 vehicles were produced in about a year, enabling each infantry division and other units to have their own unique armored forces.
Had it appeared a year earlier, the German battle in the second half of the war would have been much different...
The Hetzer is reproduced here in the magazine using actual vehicle data (development history, structure and transition, detail photos) and model examples (1/35 scale).
1/35 scale modeling
Early production vehicle (single-color paint) Academy
Early production vehicle (3-color camouflage) Takom
Mid-term production vehicle (light and shadow camouflage) Tamiya
Late production vehicle (winter camouflage) Takom (full interior)
Command vehicle type (Skoda camouflage) Dragon
