This is a fundamental building material for use in scratch-building or customizing models.
How much terrain can be modeled?
The effective area is approximately 625 square cm (equivalent to a 25 x 25 cm diorama with a thickness of 0.5 cm).
The product is available only in brown color. How can different shades of terrain be created?
Mix pigments and ENML binder, then apply them to the terrain using brushes or sprays. You can also use Pigment Jockey's Weathering Colors for coloring. For methods and various finishes, refer to the product introduction video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnEEaG8WadI.
How long does it take for the paste to harden?
It will dry to a touch-dry state in approximately 2-3 hours, but it takes over 48 hours to fully cure structurally.
How long is the working time for the product?
Depending on ambient temperature, you have approximately 1-3 hours of working time. After this, it becomes less workable, although imprinting (making marks) is still possible.
What tools should be used?
For spreading the paste and modeling terrain, using artist's spatulas, wooden sticks, or fingers is recommended.
How to create dried mud?
The paste typically dries to a dry finish. Mix Pigment and ENML Binder Matte FX, then apply with a brush or spray onto the terrain.
How to create wet, glossy mud?
Start by creating a standard dry mud base. After allowing the base to dry for 48 hours, mix your preferred Pigment with Binder Wet FX (Acrylic, Alkyd, ENML 2.0) and apply thinly. For a glossier finish, apply Acrylic Binder Wet FX, Alkyd Binder Wet FX, or ENML Binder Wet FX.
How to create tracks of treads or tires?
Approximately 30-60 minutes after applying the paste, you can start imprinting tracks. If you want to work faster, wet the tires or treads with Universal Weathering Carrier Light to facilitate immediate imprinting.
