Description
This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.
This book examines a total of six camouflage patterns used on WWII German military uniforms and explains the technique of painting 1/35th scale figures with water-based acrylic paints. The painting techniques are described in cooperation with top-level figure painters from around the world, including Jaume Ortiz Forns and Branislav Lukacovic, who have won many prestigious awards.
It is structured with a theoretical section focusing on the different types of paints, brushes and tools, and following the steps to paint all camouflage patterns, including process photos of each technique and detailed descriptions of each painting step.
It also focuses on historical accuracy, having been researched over the past few years in cooperation with military historians.
To ensure the realism of the models, the book includes photographs taken in outdoor locations with the figures in similar poses wearing actual camouflage and equipment, as well as carefully photographed equipment and weapons in the studio, providing an accurate account of the special equipment used by the different branches of service.
