One of the most famous revolutionaries in Japanese history, Sakamoto Ryoma is revered for his ideas and methods, learned from his mentor, Katsu Kaishu. When the Asahi Shinbun queried 200 Japanese corporate executives, asking them which historical figure they felt could solve Japan's financial crisis, Sakamoto's name came up more than anyone else's. Of course, his plan was to rid Japan of the Barbarians, while keeping their money coming into the country, so he might not be for everyone! This lovely action doll portrays an older Sakamoto, the "gun-toting samurai", with both his katana and his pistol, wearing a traditional hakama and less-traditional Western-style shoes; a flag and a stick to put it on, are also included. His hair is molded in PVC so you don't have to worry about it getting out of control.
