MIC's "Puripura Figure Plate" series takes advantage of printing and painting techniques to try out various designs and patterns! This seventh entry in the series is a set of lacquer plates in the classic Maki-e style, used as decorative plates. The large plate is glossy with a design of carp and ground cherries, with the ground cherries painted to resemble "openwork ground cherries" that have withered and left only the veins remaining! The small plate is semi-matte with a glossy design of pine, bamboo, and plums. They're wonderful to display together with your figures or dolls, and they look great displayed on their own, too!
