This spectacular life-size bust of Evangelion Test Type-01 from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" is part of Prime 1 Studio's "Concept By Josh Nizzi" lineup, where the mechanical concept artist brings out new aspects of characters with his cutting-edge designs! This work continues the design concepts seen in the earlier releases of the diorama recreating Unit-01's first battle, and the Fourth Angel; while the previous releases were filled with a kinetic sense of motion, this figure focuses on stillness with a sense of potential action.

The beautifully detailed Unit-01 stands silently in its restraints, waiting for the moment to launch; in-scale figures of NERV scientists and workers surround it, carefully sculpted and painted. Each part of Unit-01's multi-layered armor has a different sheen, its shoulder pylons can be opened and closed, and even the interior of its mouth, held open by the restraints with the teeth exposed, has a realistically slimy appearance. The amount of dense detail in this display is astonishing, with the restraints and deck having a more worn appearance than Unit-01, and the liquid LCL it stands in rippling at its waist, conveying the "Evangelion" worldview without saying a word.

Built-in LEDs heighten the dramatic effect, revealing Unit-01's breathing as it stands silently; its eyes light up in yellow, and the shoulders glow pale blue. Red light also filters through the LCL to further stimulate the viewer's imagination, and portions of the decking surrounding Unit-01 are also illuminated.
