This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the German Air Force's flagship fighter plane during World War II. While numerous modifications were made, the F-4 model demonstrated its capabilities in every theater of war, from the Eastern Front in Europe to the scorching heat of North Africa. In particular, aircraft deployed in North Africa were fitted with a "Trop" tropical version, equipped with a sand filter in the engine intake to prevent dust from being sucked into the engine during takeoff and landing -- a measure designed to withstand the harsh conditions.
The legendary ace Hans-Joachim Marseille, who shot down 151 aircraft over North Africa, was among those piloting the F-4. His beloved aircraft, nicknamed the "Star of Africa" for its incredible military achievements and outstanding technology, is faithfully reproduced by Fine Molds with four types of markings. The structure allows for the exposed engine on top of the nose to be reproduced, and the distinctive sand filter is a separate part. The story of this famous aircraft that soared through the desert skies and its pilot are etched in memory. Build it with your own hands -- place your order today!
