The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is an iconic fighter aircraft of World War II. It debuted as the Luftwaffe's first all-metal single-seat fighter, and continued to serve as a mainstay, undergoing repeated refinements from the Spanish Civil throughout the end of the war. Over 33,000 of this legendary aircraft were produced.

This model kit from Fine Molds recreates the F-2 version, which entered combat in the spring of 1941. It boasted a more aerodynamically sophisticated design than the predecessor E model, achieving improved maneuverability. Furthermore, by being equipped with a machine gun firing from within the propeller shaft, this important model, as the first mass-produced F type, achieved new combat capabilities. The parts are designed to recreate the nose with the engine exposed; markings for two JG54 aircraft are included, and impressive large decals are included to realistically reproduce its unique camouflage paintwork.
