This is an N Gauge electric locomotive model.

The EF200 is a new generation of locomotives that will succeed the EF66. This is the first Japanese electric locomotive to use a system that drives a three-phase AC induction motor using VVF inverter control. New features such as bolsterless trolleys, single-arm pantographs, and automatic air brakes with electric command have also been added. Since 1992, 21 of this advanced locomotive have been manufactured -- one prototype and 20 mass-production models. The hand pick, release lever, and GPS antenna are separate parts, and the headlights are bulb-colored LEDs. 

This locomotive beautifully reproduces the blue and grayish-white color of its real-life counterpart, including the INVERTER HI-TECH LOCO on the side. The dignified body, delicate metal single-arm pantograph, and heavy bogie area are all precisely represented. An Arnold coupler is standard equipment, and a replacement knuckle coupler is included too. A driver figure can be installed in the cab; details such as the windows on the side of the car and shapes on the roof are precisely molded. The whistle on the cab roof is reproduced in gold, and the body notation is beautifully printed.
