This is a educational construction kit assembled from various materials (plastic, metal, etc.).

This model kit from Tamiya allows you to build a replica of the type of monorail that plays an active role as an urban transportation system! It runs along one rail and automatically drives back and forth; it can be built as the type that runs directly on the rail, or the type that is suspended from the rail. This is a two-car train, with the leading car equipped with a light smoke gearbox, and a rear car with a battery box. All the necessary parts are included, and it can be easily assembled by fitting and screwing the parts together.

The kit includes two straight rails with a length of 21cm, and two white-paper parts for the cars. The cars are easy to assemble, and you can color them with colored pencils if you like. When the switch lever hits the stopper part attached to the rail, the gear position changes and the tire rotates in the opposite direction; the reciprocating motion is automatic. When building a suspended monorail, you can make a stand with Universal Plate; you may also be interested in the Rail Set.
