Special Report: Modeling 911
The 911 is a sports car that continues to fascinate people around the world, and is the flagship model in which the latest Porsche technologies of the day are lavishly applied. For more than 60 years, it has maintained the tradition of the RR layout with the horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine mounted on the rear overhang, the two round headlights like a frog's face, and the body line that is recognizable as a 911 no matter which year the model is seen.
The 911 has been well-known and popular in the modeling industry, and has always fascinated modelers. In the second half of last year, NuNu released a kit of the 7th generation 991 model, and Tamiya released a kit of the current 8th generation 992 model.
In this month's issue, we will be showing you how to build various 911 kits, from the masterpieces that have been in production for nearly 40 years to the latest kits, and we will introduce the strategies and new ways to enjoy each kit, as well as the charm of the 911.
