Bandai's new "Kaitai-Shou-Ki" (deconstruction and construction) figure lineup makes its debut with the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II! The iconic form that we all know and love is now elevated into a profound presence through the artisan's processes of "deconstruction" and "construction." With lavish attention paid to materials, craftsmanship, and coloring, the "Kaitai-Shou-Ki" series brings the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II to life as you've never seen it before!

Over 2,500 parts are reconstructed using composite materials selected specifically for each section. It features textures that evoke the real thing and mechanisms for deploying armor, allowing for enjoyment in various configurations. Built-in lighting gimmicks in the main unit and base, along with the included mini-figures, create a sense of massive scale reminiscent of maintenance operations. 

The High-Mobility Combat Form is a configuration unique to the "Kaitai-Shou-Ki" lineup. The backpack thruster layout changes, and armor panels across the mobile suit's body open up, evoking a heat-dissipation sequence. By mounting the Gundam Mk-II on the central support of the dedicated base and utilizing the maintenance arms on either side, the unit can be displayed in a maintenance-bay setting. Lighting gimmicks in both the main unit and the base itself enhance the atmosphere of a machine undergoing service. The base includes parts reminiscent of a catapult, allowing for display in poses capturing the iconic launch scenes from the series, and the mini-figures effectively convey the sense of scale.

The Full Maintenance Form allows for an intuitive understanding of the Movable Frame structure -- a defining characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II. Armor panels across the body open up, and the chest section rises to reveal the spherical cockpit. To faithfully recreate the open-armor configuration, the figure incorporates a vast number of parts and articulation gimmicks, creating a level of detail so dense it feels almost overwhelming! The lower legs feature a mechanism that allows the internal frame to extend and retract. As the frame moves, the thruster nozzle housing opens and closes in tandem -- a highlight among the figure's many gimmicks.

It comes with the standard array of Mk-II equipment designed for systematic operation. The "Kaitai-Shou-Ki" line also features numerous original gimmicks, such as the ability to attach a launcher to the beam rifle or configure it into a short-barrel version.

The undersides of certain armor panels are painted a deep navy blue -- the signature "Titans" color. Additionally, the shield features a printed design showing the Titans emblem painted over, evoking the dramatic backstory of the unit's transition to AEUG service.
