Tokaji Michikuni inherited their knife crafting traditions and technology from the past 400 years, dating back to the Edo period, and now their traditionally made cutlery is among the top in Japan. Their third generation craftsmen finish each individual masterpiece by hand.
This luxurious full set of knives will meet just about any of your needs in the kitchen!
The broad-bladed "Deba" kitchen knife can cut through fish with ease, while the "Yanagi" knife can slice through sashimi (raw fish) beautifully just by a simple pulling motion that won't involve moving the blade back and forth. There's also the all-purpose "Shuko" knife, which can be used when cutting vegetables, other fish, meat and so on.
In addition, there's a "Nakiri" knife perfect for everyday kitchen tasks like vegetable cutting, which can take care of peeling, cabbage slicing and other vegetables with ease. And lastly, the small knife is characterized by the shortness of its blade (only 105mm). It's very light and easy to cut with, and will last for years to come.
The cutlery all feature double-edged blades, so anyone can use them without worrying about their dominant hand.
