Description
This is a completed toy designed for children and/or collectors.
The Sunny Truck, or "Sanitra," was introduced in 1967 as a variant of Nissan's first-generation Sunny, a popular compact car. The rear section of the car was converted into a truck, capable of carrying up to 500 kg. Hot Wheels has chosen the second-generation Sunny Truck, which debuted in 1971, as their model for this collectible. The second generation remained in production until 1994 in Japan and 2008 overseas, making it a long-lasting vehicle.
Although originally designed as a commercial vehicle, the Sunny Truck became a beloved "hobby car" after becoming a used vehicle. Enthusiasts would often tune its engine or customize its body. On the other hand, Nissan's Hardbody truck, which was known in Japan as the 9th-generation Datsun Truck (D21 model), is the inspiration for this model. The design features a "slammed" stance with an extremely low ride height, combined with the traditional American custom style known as "Trucking," which gives the pickup truck a pop and sporty appearance.
