The Toyota Jeep BJ, which began production in 1953,
was renamed Land Cruiser in 1954 due to trademark issues with the "JEEP" name in America.
Subsequently, the Land Cruiser underwent two full model changes in 1955 and 1960.
Initially, it had a rugged character as a high-mobility vehicle designed for traveling off-road, but over time, the demand for comfort as a means of transportation increased. In 1967, the FJ55/56 series was introduced, which was a 5-door station wagon that can be considered an SUV by today's standards.
The Hot Wheels model is based on the FJ60 series, which was introduced in 1980 as the successor model.
With a robust ladder frame and a station wagon body that emphasizes comfort, it became popular worldwide for its ability to transport more than five passengers comfortably, regardless of road conditions.
