Description
This is a completed toy designed for children and/or collectors.
For Volvo, which has a strong image of sedans and station wagons characterised by high safety and quality mechanisms, one turning point was the XC90, Volvo's first large SUV with three rows of seats, which broke big in the North American market and became popular in Japan.
The line-up was subsequently increased with the release of the XC60 in 2008 and the XC40 in 2017.
The XC40 was initially available only as a petrol-engined model, but a hybrid version that uses both engine and motor was added in 2020, and an electric version, the XC40 Recharge, which runs on motor alone, joined the line-up in November 2021.
This time, Hot Wheels has used the Recharge as a motif, and instead of the stock version, it has been customised with a high ride height, large-diameter tyres and wheels, a guard bar at the front, and playful gear-like features such as auxiliary lights and skis mounted on the roof rack.
