The LUV, which is pronounced "Love," is a small pickup truck that was sold as a Chevrolet from 1972 to 1982.
In reality, it is a badge-engineered version of a vehicle sold by the Japanese company Isuzu, which was in partnership with GM at the time, known as the Faster, giving it a somewhat Japanese car appearance.
At that time, GM did not have the know-how to manufacture such small pickups, but in 1982, they finally began producing their first small pickup, the S10 series, which led to the discontinuation of LUV sales.
Hot Wheels has chosen to model the LUV with a powerful V8 engine designed for American cars, customized in a "Pro Street" style with thick tires on the rear wheels.
The sporty front mask, which removes the bumper, is also an attractive feature.
