HobbyQuest is the first real retail store designed by and run by the hobby industry experts hlj.com team!

Based in the heart of fan culture in Tokyo, HobbyQuest aims to bring an exciting and original retail experience to all different kinds of hobbyists, with a regularly rotating selection of products at excellent prices.

Opening officially on July 25th, we’d like to welcome all fans of HobbyLink Japan to go on an exciting adventure with us and find their own ‘treasures’ from our vast array of exciting hobby products!

HobbyQuest will use HobbyLink Japan’s decades of industry knowledge and extensive product lineup to offer a fun ‘treasure hunt’ themed retail experience, where every visit will offer something new and exciting for hobbyists and fans of popular Japanese culture like anime and games.

We aim to offer a vast array of figures, model kits and character goods at HobbyQuest, including products that you’d usually see on HLJ’s online store plus other new items based on exclusive partnerships, with themed, seasonal releases.

In addition, HobbyQuest will also offer gacha products and special deals via our gacha machines and vending machines outside the store, as well as original novelty goods that can only be obtained at HobbyQuest based on our new original characters!

HobbyQuest is located west of Ikebukuro train station. Ikebukuro is one of the new hearts of ‘fan’ culture in Tokyo - a fun and easily accessible area for those visiting Tokyo or Japan for the first time.

HobbyQuest is about 5 minutes on foot from Ikebukuro JR train station. From other locations in Tokyo, Ikebukuro can be easily accessed via the JR Yamanote line, JR Saikyo Line and the Seibu Ikebukuro Line.

HobbyQuest’s official grand opening is scheduled for July 25th, 2026!

After the grand opening, the store will be open every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00am to 18:00pm.
