What is Namura Taiseido

Namura Taiseido was founded in 1940 with the main purpose of manufacturing and selling calligraphy brushes, Japanese painting brushes, painting brushes for watercolor and oil painting, and other calligraphy supplies.

In 1948, the company established the Japan Brush Research Institute to research brush-making techniques and expand its manufacturing division, and the following year it was certified by the then Ministry of Education as a standard product of the Ministry of Education.
