Here's proof that robots can be fun! Say hello to the Hex Bug, a line of robot toys from Bandai! This is Bug Echo; its upper carapace is colored in see-through red, and it's about 6cm long, 6cm wide (measured from toe to toe), and about 3cm tall. Two replaceable button-cell batteries (LR43 type) are its power source, and are included. When activated, it marches determinedly forward until its wire antenna bump into an obstacle; that prompts it to back up and change direction. A loud noise, such as sharply clapped hands, will also make it change direction. It's a terrific toy for kids, and a wonderful gift for anyone who's interested in robotics! Please note that the photos shown are of a prototype; the production version may vary. Also, figures such as this are mass produced and as a result some inconsistencies in finish and painting may occur; these are not considered manufacturer's defects.
