This is an assembly kit of a space exploration vehicle or other non-fictional mechanism.
This is just plain fun! Meet the Hex Bug, a line of robot toys from Bandai! This is Bug Charlie; its upper carapace is gleaming black, and it's about 6cm long, 6cm wide (measured from toe to toe), and about 3cm tall. Two replaceable button-cell batteries (LR43 type) are its power source, and are included. When activated, it will march determinedly forward until its wire antenna bump into an obstacle; that prompts it to back up and change direction. A loud noise, such as sharply clapped hands, will also make it change direction. It's a wonderful toy for kids, and the perfect gift for anyone who's interested in robotics! Please note that the photos shown are of a prototype; the production version may vary. Also, figures such as this are mass produced and as a result some inconsistencies in finish and painting may occur; these are not considered manufacturer's defects. If you absolutely must have perfection, prepare to do some touch-up work on your own.
