The book begins with the history of German aircraft in Italy after Etrich Taube and focuses on German aircraft delivered to the Royal Italian Air Force and ANR (Air Force of the Italian Social Republic), including Ju-87, Bf109, Bf110, Do217 night fighters, Fi156 and Ju88.

The book also includes a detailed description of German gliders operated in Italy and the story of an Italian pilot who went to Germany to train to fly the Me163 Comet, with more than 600 photographs, including some never before published, and color profiles by Janusz Szifiatowon.
