Description

This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.

The Fulda Gap, located on the border between East and West Germany during the Cold War, was one of the most likely areas for a flashpoint between NATO and the Warsaw Pact Organization.

If war had actually broken out, it was predicted that Warsaw Pact forces would have raided into Frankfurt, the main city of West Germany, through the East Hessian region, and would have overrun all of West Germany in five to seven days, advancing to the west coast of France within 15 days to prevent the main American and British forces from landing there.

This book describes Caravan I 1972, Reforger 81 "Sartan Encounter," and Reforger 83 "Confiden and Enterprise," based on the U.S. Army's Fulda Gap defense plan. " exercises are described.

Numerous never-before-seen photographs show U.S. military vehicles attempting to defend against invaders from the east.
