Based on Akio Watanabe's (a.k.a. Poyoyon Rock) illustration of his own version of Asuka from Evangelion and beautifully sculpted by Cherry Blossom, it is certainly refreshing to see a different design approach of the popular character after countless variations of the same original anime design in various outfits and poses.
