Although not the longest running of Capcom’s different series, the Monster Hunter series has now reached a crazy level of global popularity! While already huge in Japan, people across the world rely on Capcom for frenzied, focused monster hunting action!

Beginning in 2004 on the Playstation 2, Monster Hunter games provide exactly what it says on the tin - Monster hunting! Players ride solo or team up in small groups to tackle big boss-fight style challenges against huge and dangerous monsters using special weapons and armor that can be upgraded from Monster parts harvested after each hunt.

The most recent instalment, Monster Hunter Wilds, was a huge hit upon release and is still getting regular content updates to keep players hooked, with an endless loop of new Monsters to fight.

People like Monster Hunter for lots of different reasons, but one major appeal is the design of the monsters. For people interested in monster designs, the Monster Hunter series is a gold mine, offering dozens of unique monster designs with each entry.
