Description
This is a tool for use in model assembly.
Balsa Stripper
Designed to cut materials such as balsa sheets, styrofoam sheets, plastic boards, cork boards, etc.
It can cut with a maximum thickness of 6mm and widths from 1mm to 25mm.
There are two positions to place the blade, one for left-handed and one for right-handed.
When placing the blade, make sure the tip of the blade is flush with the hobby cutting mat you are working on.
If it is too high, the cut will be incomplete.
Please break hard plastic boards by hand to avoid injury.
Here is a general guide on how to use it:
1: Clamp the material: Place the thing you want to cut on a flat and stable surface.
If necessary, use clamps or double-sided tape to secure it in place.
2: Set the desired width: Adjust the guide to the desired width.
To do so, simply move the blade to the raised marks in millimeters and inches and tighten the fixing screw.
This will allow you to accurately determine the thickness of the board.
Next, position the material with the blade aligned at the start of the cut.
Make sure the orientation is correct based on the desired strip length.
3: With the material firmly positioned, pull the tool toward you along the long support line, applying gentle, consistent pressure.
The blade will slice through the material, creating a board of consistent width determined by the previously set cut width.
The screw mechanism ensures the blade maintains the set width throughout the cut.
4: Repeat the process: If multiple boards of the same width are required, reposition the stripper and repeat the steps.
10 replacement blades included
Remove blades after use and store.
