Description
This is a white metal figure or figure set for use with military dioramas or individual display.
The arquebus (a primitive rifle-like firearm, also spelled "harquebus") was first introduced to Japan by the Portuguese in 1543, and became the common weapon of the Japanese ashigaru (foot soldier) by 1570. This exquisitely sculpted Andrea Miniatures figure depicts an ashigaru arquebusier in a moment of quiet repose, leaning against a bamboo shield emplacement. Arquebus, clan standard, and bamboo shield included. An unpainted, ready-to-assemble cast white metal kit.
