This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Sealab is an underwater experimental facility developed by the U.S. Navy in the 1960s. Various experiments, such as saturation diving and whether humans can live in underwater facilities for a long period of time, were conducted. In 1964, Sealab I was installed on the seabed at a depth of 58 meters off the coast of Bermuda, and experiments were conducted with the participation of four divers. Four years later, Sealab III was created. A part of it was refurbished using Sealab II and lowered to a depth of 185 meters off the coast of San Clemente Island, California, but difficulties such as water leakage continued, and unfortunately, Sealab III was scrapped and the Sealab program was abandoned.
This is a 1/93-scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the final form of Sealab III, the underwater laboratory used by the U.S. Navy for experiments. Released by Aurora in 1970, the phantom vintage kit that has never been resold is now reproduced by Doll & Hobby with completely new molds! The unique appearance of Sealab III is firmly modeled, as well as the internal details and structure. Clear parts are provided for the outer wall parts, so you can enjoy the reproduced interior after completion. A set of four diver figures are included, as is a display base that resembles the seabed where Sealab III was installed; a nameplate is also included. Order yours today!
