This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.
Besides the ill-fated Hindenburg, the Graf Zeppelin was one of the most famous rigid frame airships to be flown and named after the German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. Built and first flown in 1928, the Graf Zeppelin had an illustrious career that included many long trips including the famous 1929 flight around the world which made a stop right here in Japan at the Kasumigaura Naval Air Base in Ibaraki Prefecture just north of Tokyo. Unlike the Hindenburg and a number of other large rigid frame airships of the time, the Graf Zeppelin did not meet a disastrous end and instead was broken up for aircraft parts by the Nazi regime in 1940.
Mark.I Model, who recently released earlier WWI era P and Q class Zeppelins bring us this nicely detailed kit of the Graf Zeppelin in 1/720 scale. This kit measures in at about 33cm long when completed.
