This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.
This kit from Avis is an entirely new mold! The Yak-20 is a double-seat training aircraft equipped with a reciprocating engine developed by the Soviet Union's Yakolev Design Bureau in 1949. The Yak-20 was approved for production in 1946, and is one size smaller than the Warsaw Pact's standard training aircraft, the Yak-18, with lower production and operating costs; it was developed to be a training aircraft for commercial aircraft clubs or aerobatic sports aircraft. The first prototype was well received by many civilian and military pilots in test flights, but the second prototype, redesigned according to the strict evaluation of government committees, was heavier and less maneuverable; since the Yak-18 was already being produced, further development of the Yak-20 was cancelled.
