This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
This two-in-one kit from Dragon allows you to build the Sd.Kfz.171 Panther A as either its early or late version! The Sd.Kfz.171V Panther tank is said to be the best of German's tanks used in World War II. It's equipped with a powerful 75mm gun mounted to a body whose design is said to have been influenced by the Soviet T-34. It first appeared in combat in July 1943 in the Battle of Kursk. The Panther A, produced later than the first mass-produced Panther D, was equipped with a new cupola with a periscope.More than 2,000 of this version were produced between 1943 and 1944. In the meantime, improvements were made to details of the early production type such as the shape of the cupola and exhaust pipe, and a new on-board machine gun mount on the front of the hull.
This kit provides both early and late cupola designs, as well as the exhaust pipe and other parts that differ between the two versions. The tracks are DS belt types, and the side skirts are integrally molded for accuracy. Order this pivotal tank for your own collection today!
