Description

This is a plastic military vehicle model.

The Hummel self-propelled artillery was built by the German Army during World War II by mounting a 15cm howitzer on the III/IV chassis. An open-top battle compartment was created on the III/IV chassis, which was equipped with the same transmission as the Panzer III on the body of the Panzer IV F, and an sFH18 heavy howitzer was installed. Completed in 1943, it was active on each from until the end of the war, starting with the Battle of Kursk. The chassis used the components of the Panzer III and Panzer IV, and the engine was set in the center of the car body. The open-top battle compartment was surrounded by armor plates with a thickness of 10mm, and the 15cm heavy howitzer was mounted in the center. It boasted a maximum range of 13,000 meters. Since the ammunition used a method in which the charge and the ammunition were separated, a crew of six people -- one more than usual -- was required, and the ammunition carrier was built using the same chassis because the ammunition mounted was as small as 18 rounds. By the end of the war, 714 of this vehicle had been produced and fought on the front lines of various locations.

This is a fully assembled and painted display model of the Sd.Kfz.165 Hummel late production model, a self-propelled artillery developed by the German Army in World War II. The flat shape of the front of the fighting compartment, a feature of the late production type, is carefully reproduced; the lower part of the hull accurately models the III/IV chassis. Details such as the jack parts and spare wheel, and the hinges are also expressed in great detail. The reproduction of the interior is also unique to the open-top vehicle. The central 15cm howitzer has a powerful barrel, and all the mechanisms are reproduced in detail. This model reproduces the camouflage paint that adds a characteristic blurring effect based on desert yellow. Dirt and mud splashes are also applied, along with weathering, to create a realistic finish; the model comes in a clear case for display. Order yours today!
