This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
First deployed in 1944, the M24 Chaffee is a light tank of the U.S. Army that has been active in various countries around the world since the Battle of the Bulge at the end of World War II. It is the first American tank to use a torsion bar suspension, making it possible to design a low-silhouette body. It was equipped with two Cadillac V-type 8-cylinder water-cooled gasoline engines, capable of generating 220 horsepower for a maximum speed of about 56km/h on a level road. During World War II, it demonstrated its power in the German invasion on the European front, and after the war it was also used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
This model kit from Waltersons is molded in olive drab to match the color of U.S. military vehicles. Its low-silhouette style is firmly reproduced; the turret can rotate 360 degrees after completion, and the barrel can be moved up and down. The suspension is also delicately modeled, down to the road wheels and sprocket wheels. The tracks are made of a flexible plastic material, and a tank commander figure is included. Decals are included for a vehicle of the 8th Armored Division 36th Tank Battalion D Company in Germany in March 1945. Order yours today!
