This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
A military truck with a loading capacity of 2.5 tons was developed and widely used by the U.S. military during World War II, when mobility was emphasized. Developed and produced by GMC in the United States, the U.S. military began using this truck in 1941. The lineup consisted of a six-wheel-drive type CCKW type that also drove the front wheels, and a CCW type that drove only the rear wheels. One of the half-tracks available was the M3/M3A1. It was equipped with an in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine for towing the 105mm howitzer. An M36/37 ring mount was provided on the roof of the cabin, and it could be equipped with an M2 machine gun. It was active in transporting goods on the European continent after the Normandy landing.
This model kit from Waltersons features an olive drab color to match that of U.S. military vehicles. The body shape of the cargo truck is firmly reproduced; the underside features the mechanism of the six-wheel-drive train and suspension from the chassis frame. The engine is also included; the cabin parts and hood are integrated. The cargo space is also well modeled, the rear panel can be opened and closed, and the hood can be removed. Decals for the 1st Infantry Division in Normandy in June 1944 are included. Order yours today!
