The T-34 with distinctive additional armor and eye-catching winter camouflage
About the actual vehicle:
The Soviet T-34 tank that surprised the German army invading the Soviet Union during World War II. It is also known for significantly influencing the development of subsequent German tanks with its design. Initially equipped with a 76.2mm gun, it was outmatched with the introduction of new tanks like the German Tiger I, leading to the development of the more powerful T-34 equipped with an 85mm gun. The T-34/85 was standardized and began production in 1944. Despite material shortages as the German army penetrated deep into Soviet territory, over 18,000 units were produced by the end of the war in 1945, and continued production after the war brought the total to over 25,000 units. In the latter part of World War II, it became a mainstay for the Soviet army, leading the charge into Berlin.
About the model:
This is a 1/72 scale assembled and finished model of the Soviet Army's main tank, the T-34 with an 85mm gun, which was active from World War II to the post-war period. The model replicates the type equipped with improvised spaced armor using bed mattress springs on the sides of the hull and turret. The fine mesh of the improvised armor gives it a mechanical finish. The model is approximately 8cm in length and 4.5cm in width, realistically reproducing the hull shape and the design of the cast turret. Additionally, the details such as the cupola, handrails on various parts of the hull, and lights are finely represented. The distinctive road wheels of the lower hull are accurately reproduced, tightening the appearance of the model. The coloring replicates the distinctive camouflage for the thawing period in winter, with added weathering for increased realism. It comes with a clear case, convenient for collection or display.
