This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The Elefant is a German heavy tank destroyer of World War II, with its long-barreled 71-caliber 8.8cm gunand heavy armor reaching up to 200mm thick. Developed by Dr. Porsche for the Tiger tank, the body was rejected in a prototype competition with Henschel, but a new fixed battle compartment and a PaK43/2 71-caliber 8.8cm tank gun were installed. It was characterized by adopting a drive system with a unique mechanism called "engine power generation motor drive system." Approximately 90 vehicles were built from March to May 1943, using the hull prepared at the time of the competition prototype. It was immediately put into action against Kursk in July and demonstrated its power. It continued to fight until the end of the war, including being dispatched to the defense of Berlin.

This model kit from Dragon includes the Elefant's characteristic large fixed battle compartment at the rear of the hull; the appearance of the long protruding 8.8cm gun barrel is expressed with a total length of about 11 centimeters. The lower part of the hull and the battle compartment are modeled with integral parts to ensure an accurate shape. The left and right fenders, the engine deck, the rear part of the hull and more are delicately reproduced with separate parts to enhance the sense of reality. The suspension unit firmly expresses the unique form of the Porsche type. In addition, assembled track parts are included. The upper part of the hull has sharp slits on the engine deck. Details such as the commander's cupola, hatches, and the main gun mantlet enhance the feeling of the battle room. In addition, photo-etched parts are provided for the in-vehicle tools and more to enhance the finish.
