The Ju-52 is a three-engine aircraft developed by the German aircraft manufacturer Junkers.
It was designed as a passenger and cargo aircraft.
In 1930, the prototype single-engine model successfully made its first flight.
Subsequent improvements led to the prototype model 7, the Ju-52/3m, which made its initial flight in 1932.
Production began thereafter.
Before the war, it was operated as a passenger aircraft by airlines such as Lufthansa, and the cargo variant was also widely used by many airlines.
With the onset of World War II, it was repurposed for military use, playing a vital role in transporting soldiers and supplies.
It was also used for airborne troop missions.
