This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
During World War II, the German Army used the hull of the Panzer III to mount a 75mm gun in a low fixed fighting compartment. It was developed to provide fire support for infantry, and is used to attack enemy positions. After that, it became effective not only for attacking positions, but also for anti-tank combat to protect infantry from enemy tanks. One of the various types of assault guns III is the 10.5cm assault howitzer. A prototype vehicle was produced based on the E-type body, and then mass production began using the F/8 type body by Arquette. In the mass-produced model from February 1943, the Type III assault gun had been moved to the G type, so the Type 42 10.5cm assault howitzer was also produced using the G type chassis. When it made its first appearance in the Battle of Leningrad, its performance was highly praised by the infantry, and it is said that approximately 200 of this vehicle were produced by the end of the war.
This model kit from Dragon features a 10.5cm StuH.42 mounted on the hull of the Type III assault gun G. The low body and thick gun barrel give it a powerful style; this kit uses NEO Tracks that are easy to assemble and can easily reproduce the natural hanging of the tracks. The finish of the lower part of the vehicle is complemented by the delicately reproduced road wheels and sprocket wheels. The upper fighting compartment and engine deck are accurately reproduced using slide molds; the 10.5cm howitzer is prepared as a one-piece part using a slide mold. The muzzle is well opened and its shape is accurately modeled. At the bottom of the hull, the shock absorbers are reproduced as separate parts for a three-dimensional mechanical finish. This kit has a low silhouette and rugged details that you can't miss -- order yours today!
