Description
This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The U.S. Marine Corps is a specialized expeditionary force that is mainly responsible for landing operations and quick response deployment, and is the fourth largest of the United States' military branches, after the Army, Navy and Air Force. They have their own aviation unit with helicopters, fighters, and attack aircraft, and they can provide air support without depending on other troops. In the Vietnam War, the Marine Corps stationed in Japan participated in that war, but the F-4's mission was mainly to attack the ground. The markings on this kit are those of the aircraft belonging to the F-4 model conversion squadron VMFAT101 (the 101st Combat Attack Training Squadron) at Miramar base, and the VMFA333 (333rd Combat Attack Squadron) based on the aircraft carrier America, which became the only "MiG Killer" of the Marine Corps.
