This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The F-35B Lightning II is a stealth fighter scheduled for deployment aboard the large destroyers Izumo and Kaga, operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Prior to their actual deployment, flight operations -- including takeoffs and landings -- were conducted aboard the Izumo in 2021 and the Kaga in 2024. Utilizing Italeri's 1/72-scale kit as a base, this 1/72-scale model kit from Platz meticulously reproduces the aircraft's airframe shape and intricate details.
