This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The 8th Tactical Fighter Wing (commonly known as "Wolfpack") deployed to Ubon Air Base in Thailand, the U.S. Air Force's frontline base in Vietnam, in December 1965, early in the Vietnam War. Operation Bolo, designed to eliminate MiG fighters that posed a threat to the so-called "North Bombing," was launched on January 2, 1967, and shot down seven state-of-the-art MiG-21 fighters, which had just been provided by the Soviet Union the previous fall, in a single day. Furthermore, Wolfpack's F-4Cs shot down a total of 22 MiGs before being converted to the D model. The included decals recreate three aircraft, including the one flown by Wing Commander Colonel Olds.
