Description
This is a resin-cast aircraft kit.
The Aviotehas PN-3 was designed by V. Post and R. Neudorf of the Estonian Air Club as a high-speed fighter, and was manufactured in 1939, making its first flight that same year. It was initially planned to have retractable landing gear, but the prototype was built with fixed landing gear to speed up production and development. Due to the outbreak of World War II and the Soviet occupation of Estonia in 1940, the plan was suspended and it did not reach mass production. Only one prototype was delivered to the Estonian Air Force, and it was later used as a training aircraft. It is believed to have been lost in the turmoil of the German-Soviet war.
