Developed by Norinco Co., Ltd., it has a complicated mechanism of eight-wheel-drive with eight-wheel independent suspension, and it also performs amphibiously, propelled by water jets. It's equipped with a German Deutz BF6M1015C diesel engine. It boasts a top speed of 100km/h, and has a range of 800km. Various versions have been developed, including armored personnel carrier types and infantry fighting vehicle types. This version is actively used in anti-tank missions and fire support missions.
