This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The O-1 is a military version of the Cessna 170 light aircraft manufactured by Cessna in the United States; it was widely used as a liaison and observation aircraft. Nicknamed "Bird Dog," before the unification of the three military aircraft in 1962, the Army aircraft was called the L-19 and the Marine Corps version was known as the OE. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force received a loan of an L19-A from the U.S. Army and used it as a liaison aircraft, but Fuji Heavy Industries obtained a license from Cessna and mass-produced it as the L-19F.
