This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Noorduyn's Norseman was a single-engine general-purpose frontier aircraft designed and manufactured by the Canadian company Noorduyn; it made its first flight in 1935. The landing gear was originally designed to be interchangeable with wheels, skis, or floats, so it was used all over the world. The final model, the Mk.IV, was manufactured in 1937 with the engine replaced by the Wasp S3H-1, and several hundred were produced by the outbreak of World War II. Due to a large order from the U.S. Army, 600 aircraft were produced under license by the American aircraft manufacturer Aeronca Aircraft by 1943. It is also notorious as the plane that the famous musician Glenn Miller was on when he went missing. The Norseman was manufactured until 1959, with a total of 903 aircraft built; more than 50 of this aircraft are currently flying in Canada and the United States.
This model kit from Dora Wings is a completely new mold! The aileron, rudder, and landing flap are separate parts, and the boarding door can be built opened or closed. The cockpit interior and engine are fully reproduced; photo-etched parts and painting mask stickers are included, as are decals for four versions (two from Canada, one each from the United Nations and Norway).
