This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The VBL (Vehicle Blinde Leger) is a light wheeled armored vehicle developed by Panhard and operated by the French military. In 1978, when the French Army presented specifications for a wheeled armored vehicle weighing less than 3.5 tons that could conduct both reconnaissance and information-gathering missions, as well as being a tank destroyer equipped with Milan anti-tank missiles; the Panhard vehicle was adopted as the result of a prototype competition between Renault and Panhard. The VBL is an armored vehicle with its engine located in the front, and was very compact with respect to the wheelbase. The VBL armored car uses the same SD3T in-line four-cylinder liquid-cooled turbocharged diesel engine as Peugeot's passenger car to reduce costs, and uses other civilian components as much as possible. There are two French Army variants: a reconnaissance/scout version and an anti-tank missile version. Approximately 2,300 of both versions of this vehicle were produced, including exports. and as of 2006, approximately 1,600 VBLs are in service with the French Army.
