This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the "Macchi MC.202 Eastern Front 1942" as shown in the photo. This kit contains parts for one model and instructions in English. Paints and glue are not included.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was a single-seat fighter plane of completely metal construction. It had a covered cabin, classic chassis, hidden in flight, with a retractable tail wheel. The engine was a 12-cylinder Alfa Romeo R.A. 1000 R.C.41-1 Monsone 1175 HP with a three-blade metal propeller with a constant pitch. The plane was armed with two Breda-SAFAT machine guns, cal. 12.7mm, placed in the fuselage above the engine and firing through the propeller. In subsequent versions, the aim was to strengthen the weapons, installing in the wings two machine guns Fiat caliber 7.7mm. The serial production was started in April 1941 and the first machines were sent to the units in the middle of the year. Between May 1941 and September 1943 (capitulation of Italy) about 1,500 fighters were produced at the mother company and in the Breda and SAI factories.
