The Panhard M3 is a series of armored personnel carriers for the export market manufactured by the French company Panhard since 1971. Although this vehicle was not adopted by the French military, it was widely used by military and security forces in Africa and the Middle East. The VDA type is equipped with a one-man rotating turret that carries two Hispano-Suiza 20mm cannons; the firing rate is normally 200 rounds per minute, but if the hull is fixed with outriggers, it can fire 1,000 rounds per minute. It is also equipped with an ESDRA-20 Doppler radar that tracks four targets within a distance of 8km.
