Avis brings us their 1/72 Lesher Teal aircraft model kit! The Lesher Teal is a single-seat reciprocating home-built experimental aircraft designed and manufactured by Edgar Lesher for the purpose of speed and flight distance records for Class C1-A of the International Aviation Federation (for land aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 500kg or less). The Teal flew for the first time in 1965, and set new speed records on several courses. In 1970, it achieved the world long-distance flight record of 2,501km, and in 1975 it updated its record to 2,954km. It was donated to the American Institute of Experimental Aircraft Association in 2002, and is still on display there.
