Description
This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Somewhat dated but buildable kit of this Japanese WWII standard, which saw action on nearly all cruisers and battleships of the war. Hardly glorious, this was nevertheless a rugged, dependable seaplane which could stay aloft for a remarkable 12-hour span and whose metal floats allowed it to operate in heavy seas. Arguably the best ship-based seaplane of WWII.
The catapult is also very nice, and will make for quite the display with the Type 94 mounted on it. A couple of hints for building: the dotted line in step 5 of the catapult instructions is the launch rope, you need 60cm of thread or fine line, loop it around the wheels and pullies as shown in the drawing. The catapult cart for the Type 94 is the one on the left in step 7. Don't use the parts shown in the right-hand drawing, those are for the E13A1 Jake - unless you already have the JAke, in which case now you can mount it on this catapult!
